Board Member, CEO of Yandex Technologies LLC Arkady Volozh is a Board Member and one of the founding members of InfiNet Wireless. Mr. Volozh is the CEO of Yandex, the largest Russian portal, which he co-founded in 2000. For ten years prior to becoming the head of Yandex. Mr. Volozh was the CEO and co-founder of CompTek International, the largest network and telecom equipment distributor in Russia. Mr. Volozh received a MS degree in Applied Mathematics in 1986 and has conducted considerable research in the area of data analysis at the Institute of Control Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His success in the Russian business arena dates back 1987, when he was a founding member of one of Moscow's first computer co-operatives. As the head of Wireless Data Committee of Russian Association of Networks and Services (RANS) Mr. Volozh facilitated frequency deregulation process for the wireless internet access operators (1998). In 1999 Arkady was among those who helped legalize IP-telephony in Russia. |
