InfiNet Wireless, a leading global designer and manufacturer of wireless infrastructure solutions for Broadband Wireless Access, WiMAX, and Mesh networks, announced today the global launch of the new InfiMAN 2x2 product family. InfiMAN 2x2, the latest addition to InfiNet Wireless’ Point-to-Multipoint solution suite, offers an unprecedented increase in Base Station capacity of up to 240 Mbps net throughput per sector with superb spectral efficiency.

InfiMAN 2x2 key customer benefits combine industry-leading base station performance with best-in-class spectral efficiency and feature set. With increased bitrate and coverage ranges, each Base Station supports more high-speed subscriber stations than ever, greatly reducing capital expenditure on network infrastructure. CPE equipment is not limited by channel widths and bitrates thus allowing it to work in any mode (radio) minimizing overheads for BS-CPE communication. Accordingly, less BS performance degradation will happen as number of CPE per BS sector increases. Another benefit of the system is that is provides a significant increase of packets-per-second ratio. The InfiMAN 2x2 system uses InfiNet’s traditionally rich feature set of networking services such as RIPv2/OSPFv2/static routing, multipool NAT, DHCP client/server/relay, IP-firewall, IP-over-IP and Ethernet-over-IP tunneling and Level 3 QoS with 16 priority queues, traffic shaping and 802.1p support.

Available in multiple frequency bands (2.3-2.7 GHz; 4.8-6.4 GHz), InfiMAN 2x2 products is capable of delivering Fast Ethernet data, voice and video over ultra long distances.
