Leading Broadband Wireless Access Vendor Experiences Rapid Growth across the Markets of the European Union

Vienna, Austria, May 22, 2006 - InfiNet Wireless, a global provider of Broadband Wireless Access and pre-WiMAX equipment for last mile connectivity, announced today that the company’s R5000-L and R5000-S low-cost customer premise equipment (CPE) devices have passed European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) tests and have been granted CE type approvals for distribution in the European Union. InfiNet will be showcasing the two products as part of the company’s exhibit at this week’s WiMAX World Europe show in booth #300.

Products that comply with the safety legislation harmonized throughout the European Union are marked with the CE logo to specify that they are compliant with local and international laws, as verified by an independent assessment of the product quality. The InfiNet Wireless R5000-S and R5000-L routers for fixed broadband wireless networks are comprised of an outdoor router unit with integrated antenna and indoor power supply, and are recommended for use as a CPE unit. The newly obtained CE type approvals are in addition to the CE type approval received last year for the R5000-O router base station unit.

“InfiNet Wireless has already had a number of successes in the major markets of the European Union, including Italy, Spain, Poland and the United Kingdom, and receiving the CE type approvals for the R5000-L and R5000-S products will further position the company for major growth opportunities,” said Robert Stubblebine, CEO of InfiNet Wireless. “We look forward to InfiNet’s continued success in the EU, which will add to the more than 300 carrier-class wireless networks built with InfiNet Wireless equipment throughout the world.”

InfiNet Wireless equipment was used to create point-to-point wireless backhaul links for the highway authorities in Italy with more than 20 links, including several in non-line-of-sight conditions, deployed throughout the country to provide wireless connectivity to electronic signboards, highway authority offices and utility sheds. Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connectivity in four of the major cities of Spain was established using InfiNet Wireless infrastructure equipment to supply networks with extremely reliable links at extended ranges (up to 40 kilometers) and excellent throughput for point-to-point backhaul links. In the United Kingdom, InfiNet Wireless products are being used for public safety and video surveillance networks in two localities and multiple trial deployments are underway in Poland for data and voice broadband connectivity for corporate accounts.
