HIGH PERFORMANCE PUBLIC SAFETY AND PUBLIC ACCESS NETWORK

The Broadband Wireless Conference for Public Safety and Public Access in Riverside featured a live demonstration of an integrated public safety mesh network, Wi-Fi public access network and mesh backhaul network using cutting-edge equipment from the members of The Public Safety Broadband Consortium.

Conference attendees witnessed a mock robbery at a local restaurant with security patrol discovery of the crime in progress, Riverside public safety alert and deployment to the scene, and the resulting apprehension of the “robbers.” Live, streaming video from inside the restaurant (using the restaurant's pre-existing surveillance system), patrol cars, locations near the restaurant and from the inside of a fire truck were shared with the audience on a cinema screen during the entire staged robbery.
